XO Communications announced that Michael Toplisek has been named chief marketing officer for the company's Business Services division. In his new role, Toplisek will focus on enhancing the company's services and solutions portfolio and associated growth initiatives as the company targets a broader share of the enterprise market. He will be responsible for expanding marketing's role as a stimulus for XO's growth strategy, cultivating new opportunities in both new and existing market segments, and overseeing the XO National and Strategic Accounts organization which supports Fortune 1,000 companies. An eighteen-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, Toplisek reports to XO Business Services President, Dan Wagner. Prior to joining XO Communications, Toplisek served as senior vice president of global enterprise and collaboration services for Global Crossing.

XO Holdings Inc. announced that it has been selected by StarView, a supplier of business-ready IP communications solutions, to provide Dedicated Internet Access and Ethernet over Copper transport services.
