Western Metals has announced that the company is planning to sell of its interest in the Glade uranium project in Colorado. "This divestment of non-core assets reflects the company’s strategy of continually monitoring its asset portfolio to ensure it generates the best possible return from resources committed to exploration and development," the company said.

Western Metals Corp. reported earnings results for the half year to Dec. 31, 2007. For the period, the company reported loss after tax of AUD 3,647,600 on total revenue of AUD 1,042,000 against loss after tax of AUD 1,053,700 on total revenue of AUD 70,800 for the same period a year ago. Loss per share increased 136.0% from AUD 0.0025 in 2006 to AUD 0.0059 for the year 2007.

Western Metals Corporation announced that it has acquired two natural gas wells located in the Lindsey Slough Field in Solano County, California. The company stated that it will operate the acquired properties and look for other acquisition opportunities in the oil and gas industry.
