Wound Management Technologies Inc., through its subsidiary, Wound Care Innovations, announced that it has reached an agreement with Biocure S.r.l. for the distribution of WNDM's patented molecular form of activated collagen, CellerateRx. CellerateRx is cleared by the FDA as a medical device for use on all acute and chronic wounds except for 3rd degree burns and is made in the USA. In the US alone, approximately 85% of lower extremity amputations are preceded by chronic diabetic foot wounds which lead to over 82,000 amputations annually with direct and indirect costs in the range of $2,500,000,000 to $4,920,000,000.
Wound Management Technologies, Inc. announced an agreement with Pharma Technology International, LLC to market, distribute and sell the company's wound care products in the Middle East. The initial focus will be on Wound Management Technologies' major product, CellerateRx(R), which is used in the management of pressure ulcers, traumatic wounds, diabetic ulcers, first and second degree burns, venous stasis ulcers, ulcers due to arterial insufficiency and superficial wounds. CellerateRx's patented collagen fragments, which are a fraction of the size of the native collagen molecules and particles found in other products, deliver the benefits of collagen to the body immediately. This exclusive agreement will require Pharma Tech, LLC to sell a minimum of $500,000 of CellerateRx in the first year of the five-year agreement with a 10% increase year over year. The agreement covers 20 countries throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa.
