The Agri-food Processing segment manufactures and markets value-added products associated with oats and malt barley for domestic and export markets. The Financial Products segment acts as an agent for a Canadian Schedule I chartered bank; and provides unsecured trade credit to agricultural customers, and secured loans to livestock producers. It was formerly known as Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Inc. The company is based in Regina, Canada.

Viterra Inc. Formally Launches Viterra Brand in Australia and New Zealand

Viterra Inc. announced that it has formally launched the Viterra brand in Australia and New Zealand through the renaming of ABB Grain Ltd. All of ABB's Australian and New Zealand operations will adopt the brand name Viterra. The Pastoral and Rural Services division will be renamed the Agri-products division, reflecting its commitment to grow this segment of the business. The consumer product names in Australia such as Joe White Maltings, and NRM and PCL in New Zealand will be maintained, with a decision to follow after a further review. A full rebranding initiative is scheduled to occur over the next several months.

Viterra Inc. confirmed that four former Directors of ABB Grain Ltd. (ABB) have joined Viterra's Board of Directors. Viterra also noted that to facilitate the appointment of these new Directors, because of limitations under the Canadian Business Corporations Act with respect to the number of directors that can be added to the Board at any one time, Mr. Herb Pinder, a long-time Viterra Director, has temporarily resigned from the Board and will act as an observer until spring 2010.
