Virtual Ed Link Inc. has met with representatives of the Northeast Regional Information Center (NERIC), Albany, New York, to finalize plans on marketing and deployment of the Safety and Security Management System (SSMS). The NERIC contract offers a potential of 174,276 users and annual revenues of $784,235 for the basic SSMS service alone, excluding add-on services. The Virtual Ed Link sole-source solution has been installed, authenticated and approved as a service. Services can now be provided and aid generated to any school district through the NERIC. This allows the Virtual Ed Link service to be replicated within or shared through the other eleven Regional Information Centers (RICs). Virtual Ed Link will be working with NERIC to generate cross contracts and/or to replicate services outside of their geographic area.
