VODone Limited plans to acquire more upstream and downstream businesses. On October 15, VODone’s chairman Zhang Lijun told 163.com that the company has CNY 600 million in cash. The company will use the funds to expand online video market share and promote its brand as well as making further acquisitions, he said. The company has recently acquired Dragon Joyce Group.

VODone LIMITED announced earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2009. For the period, the company reported revenues of HKD 70,381,000 and loss before tax of HKD 12,411,000 against revenues of HKD 53,575,000 and profit before tax of HKD 8,740,000 a year ago. Loss attributable to owners of the parent was HKD 11,273,000 or 0.6 cents per basic share against profit attributable to owners of the parent was HKD 8,899,000 or 0.5 cents per basic share for the same period a year ago. Net Cash Outflow from Operating Activities was HKD 96,231,000 against HKD 42,784,000 a year ago.
