United Online Inc. held its earnings conference call. The company plans to look at acquisition opportunities. Mark Goldston, Chairman, President and CEO said: We took our long-time general counsel, Fred Randall, and made him the Chief Strategy Officer of the Company and promoted Chuck Ammonn to GC. And Fred's entire department, his entire role, is focused on M&A, and we are actively looking for acquisitions. We'd like to make a major acquisition. He added: What we typically do is we buy a company, we take the first year to figure it out and make sure we got it, and then we make sure we're putting up good results. And when we know we've got it running like a top with good management in place and it's integrated, then we typically say it's time for us to do another acquisition, so it's about that time for us. So I would say our goal clearly in 2010 is to do another major acquisition, strategic acquisition for this Company. Because this one, FTD even in the worst economy, since the Great Depression has been a tremendous acquisition for this company.
