United Envirotech Ltd. reported group earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2009. For the quarter, the group's revenue was $18.8 million, which was $10.0 million or 114.3% higher than last corresponding period ended December 31, 2008 of $8.8 million. The increase was mainly due to the higher engineering income and the recurring treatment revenue for the current period. Profit before income tax was $5.6 million compared to $1.2 million for the same quarter a year ago. The group generated profit after tax of $5.2 million or 1.19 cents per share compared to net profit of $1.1 million or 0.27 cents per share in the corresponding period ended December 31, 2008, representing an increase of 383.6%. Net cash used in operating activities was $9.1 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of $399,000 compared to net cash used in operating activities of $4.6 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of nil for the same quarter a year ago. For the nine months, the group generated profit after tax of $9.4 million or 2.29 cents per share as compared to net profit of $3.5 million or 0.93 cents per share in the corresponding period ended December 31, 2008, representing an increase of 165.0%. The group reported profit before income tax was $10.3 million and revenue of $38.9 million compared to profit before income tax of $4 million and revenue of $32.1 million for the same period a year ago.Net cash used in operating activities was $8.7 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of $399,000 compared to net cash used in operating activities of $2.6 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of $73,000 for the same period a year ago.
