Americas Energy Company has added Cecil Lewis to their executive team as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Lewis brings AENY more than 30 years of coal industry experience and was most recently employed by Prestige Processing Co. of Manchester, Kentucky. Mr. Lewis began his career with Blue Diamond Coal Company in 1977. While Mr. Lewis was the General Manager of Fuel Procurement for Kentucky May Coal Company he was responsible for the purchase and delivery of 6,000,000 tons of coal annually.

TN-K Energy Group Inc. announced that the company has obtained the first permit to commence drilling operations on the Americas Energy Company - AECo checkerboard acquisition. This will be the first well of a 10 hole package that will be drilled on the JR Clark lease in the Exie Quadrangle in Green County Kentucky. TN-K Energy will own 20% net interest of each well location and will be the operator of the wells. Americas Energy Company will own 27.5% net interest of each well location. It is anticipated that drilling operations will commence within the next five days or less, weather permitting.

On 02/16/2010, Americas Energy Company announced that they will be unable to file their next 10-Q by the deadline required by the SEC.
