TelVue Corp. announced that the TelVue Princeton(TM) Digital Broadcaster is now available with up to four (4) independent High Definition play-out channels and professional quality digital HD-SDI outputs. The company reports the new product will be referred to as the B3000-PRO Digital Broadcast server and adds to the company's impressive product portfolio and longstanding commitment to the broadcasting community. The new TelVue B3000-PRO HD Digital Broadcast server includes a sophisticated play-out scheduling interface, content and server management and content validation all controlled through an intuitive browser-based server. Each B3000-PRO output channel supports up to 70Mbps MPEG-2 TS or 45Mbps MPEG-2 PS 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 play-out with external genlock, Dolby bypass and automatic HD/SD up and down conversion.
TelVue Corp. announced the release of the new Banner Ad Management (BAM) feature for the popular PEG. TV(TM) Internet video-on-demand and live streaming service. The company said that the latest PEG.TV(TM) BAM release will enable users to upload and manage a play-list of banner ads viewable directly within the PEG.TV(TM) Flash Player interface. Banner Ads can be used to communicate useful information via a format that is very familiar to web users. PEG.TV(TM) Banner Ad Management was designed to assist PEG.TV(TM) user organizations with the promotion of breaking community news, special events, local business sponsorships, public meetings, health or safety alerts. TelVue Corp. announced the release of version 3.6 of their TelVue Princeton(TM) digital broadcast server software. The version 3.6 software release contains significant improvements and several new integrated workflow features that will assist community and hyperlocal television stations maximize the value of their TelVue Princeton(TM) broadcast server. With the new integrated Audio Level Normalization feature, users can choose to adjust audio levels within the MPEG files to a specified value (in dBFS) during the content import process. According to a company representative, the Audio Level Normalization feature minimizes the common issue of airing community contributed programs with significantly different audio levels. This feature supports a default setting to normalize files to the Alliance for Community Media's recommended audio standard of-12 dBFS. TelVue Princeton(TM) version 3.6 also includes an integrated MPEG File Repair feature. When a user imports an MPEG file that contains a common technical fault, such as a timestamp error, the MPEG File Repair utility will automatically repair the file. The 3.6 software release will also allow users to monitor in real-time, the status and history of each of the repair and normalize background tasks.
