Business Overview We design, develop, manufacture, market and service 3-D printing, rapid manufacturing and prototyping systems and related products and materials that enable complex three-dimensional objects to be produced directly from computer data without tooling. Our products and materials help to greatly reduce the time and cost required to produce prototypes or customized production parts. We also operate a comprehensive service bureau that offers our customers rapid prototyping and manufacturing services for the production of precision parts. Our consolidated revenue is derived primarily from the sale of our systems, the sale of the related materials used by the systems to produce solid objects and the provision of services to our customers. Recent Developments Since the beginning of the third quarter of 2009, we continued our new product development activities, resulting in the following, which were not material to our operating results: • During the third quarter, we moved the production of our Projet™ line of 3-D printers, the assembly of which was previously outsourced, to our facility in Rock Hill. 3D Systems Reports Operating Results for the Third Quarter

ROCK HILL, S.C., Nov. 3, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC - News), a leading provider of 3-D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing parts and systems solutions, announced its operating results for the third quarter and first nine months of 2009 today. The company reported diluted earnings per share of 4 cents for the third quarter of 2009 on lower revenue. Gross profit margin and operating expenses both improved compared to the third quarter of 2008. The company reported $0.9 million of third quarter net income, including $1.8 million of non-cash expenses primarily related to depreciation and amortization expense. The company's cash position remained unchanged from the previous quarter. For the first nine months of 2009, the company generated $1.8 million of net cash to end the period with $24.0 million of available cash compared to $22.2 million at December 31, 2008.
