The company?s other development products include Staphylokinase, a thrombolytic agent under Phase II clinical trials used in cardiovascular disease to dissolve blood clots; TB-402, an anti-Factor VIII antibody under Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and atrial fibrillation; TB-403, a humanized monoclonal antibody under Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of various disorders, such as cancer, age-related macular degeneration, retinopathy, and inflammation; Anti-VPAC, a preclinical development stage product for the treatment of Thrombocytopenia; and Placental Growth Factor (PIGF), a preclinical development stage product for the treatment of coronary artery diseases and peripheral arterial occlusive diseases. It has research collaboration agreements with BioInvent International AB to develop drugs based on antibodies for vascular disorders; Geymonat SpA for the development of PIGF; and NuVue Technologies Inc. for development of plasmin-based products, as well as a co-operation agreement with the Center for Molecular and Vascular Biology for the development of microplasmin, staphylokinase, anti-factor VII, and anti-VPAC. ThromboGenics also has agreements with Flanders Institute for Biotechnology, Bharat Biotech International Ltd., Rhein Minapharm Biogenetics, Millipore Corporation, Roche Diagnostics, Biosite Inc., and F. Hoffmann La Roche AG. The company was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Heverlee, Belgium.
