Symmetricom Inc. reported unaudited consolidated financial results for its first quarter ended September 27, 2009. Net revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 was $52.5 million compared to $55.9 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2009. The company reported net income of $0.2 million, or $0.00 per share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2010, compared to a net loss of $1.2 million or $0.03 per share, in the first quarter of fiscal 2009. Non-GAAP net income in the first quarter of fiscal 2010 was $2.2 million or $0.05 per share, compared with $4.4 million, or $0.10 per share, in the same period of the prior year. Net cash provided by operating activities in the first quarter was $8.1 million and property, plant and equipment purchases were approximately $1.7 million, resulting in free cash flow of $6.3 million. For fiscal 2010, the company expects net revenue to be in the range of $210 million to $230 million, GAAP Earnings per share is expected to be in the range of $0.11 to $0.22 and expects Non-GAAP Earnings per share is expected to be in the range of $0.35 to $0.44. For the second quarter of fiscal 2010, the company expects net revenue to be in the range of $50 million to $57 million, GAAP loss per share is expected to be in the range of $0.03 to earnings per share of $0.04 and expects Non-GAAP Earnings per share is expected to be in the range of $0.05 to $0.10.
