For the quarter, the company reported net income of EUR 199 million or EUR 2.28 per diluted share on sales of EUR 2,199 million compared to net income of EUR 23 million or EUR 0.35 per diluted share on sales of EUR 2,273 million for the same period of last year. Net income from continuing operations was EUR 175 million or EUR 1.99 per diluted share compared to net loss continuing operations of EUR 55 million or EUR 0.59 per diluted share for the same period of last year. Earnings before taxes were EUR 237 million compared to EUR 12 million for the same period of last year. EBIT was EUR 272 million compared to EUR 94 million for the same period of last year. REBITDA was EUR 413 million compared to EUR 252 million for the same period of last year. For the year, the company reported net income of EUR 553 million or EUR 6.28 per diluted share on sales of EUR 8,485 million compared to net income of EUR 449 million or EUR 4.91 per diluted share on sales of EUR 9,490 million for the same period of last year.
