StratoComm Corporation has executed agreement with Kron Finance and Investments Ltd., an investment and business development company with offices in Accra, Ghana and London, England. Under its agreement with StratoComm, Kron will function as a market development collaborator with StratoComm for the promotion of its technologies, work with StratoComm to structure and incorporate its African based business entity, assist in the coordination and training of personnel, maintain oversight responsibility for StratoComm's business interest in Ghana, Angola, South Africa and additional sub-Saharan countries. Kron will also source funds to support StratoComm's system sales and deployment of a demonstrator Transitional Telecommunications System in Ghana. Under the defining agreement StratoComm will establish an African operating base in Accra, Ghana to support its market development collaboration with Kron. StratoComm and Kron will work jointly to identify and train qualified technical and sales personnel from the local population.
StratoComm Corporation is making final preparation for a team of its engineers to depart for Douala, Cameroon which is the location for installation of StratoComm's first commercial wireless telecommunications system. During April the company fully equipped its wireless telecommunications testing lab located at its Development Center in Eatontown, New Jersey. This allows equipment and software configurations to be verified prior to delivery and initial turn on of services in the Cameroonian city of Douala. Douala is a port city with a population of approximately 2,000,000.
COTO Communications LLC and StratoComm Corporation have entered into a joint venture to provide internet access and telephone services to underserved communities in the US. Both the partners are based in the US.
