Silver State Bancorp has announced that it has filed a Form 15 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to voluntarily deregister its common stock under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. The par value of the common stock is $0.001 per share.
The NASDAQ Stock Market announced that it will delist the common stock of Silver State Bancorp. Silver State Bancorp's stock was suspended on September 10, 2008 and has not traded on NASDAQ since that time. NASDAQ will file a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to complete the delisting. The delisting becomes effective ten days after the Form 25 is filed.
Silver State Bancorp announced that on September 5, 2008, Silver State Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, was closed by the State of Nevada. In light of this event and pursuant to conversations with representatives of the Nasdaq Stock Market, the Company understands that it will receive later today a letter from Nasdaq notifying the Company that its common stock will be delisted. The Company does not intend to appeal Nasdaq’s decision to delist the Company’s common stock.
