It provides aircraft maintenance services, including technical and non-technical handling at the airport; and aviation insurance, as well as engages in the repair and overhaul of hydro-mechanical equipment for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The company involves in the provision and sale of laundry and linen services; processing and packaging of food and beverage products; food distribution; and processing of seafood. It produces and markets chilled soups, freshly squeezed juices, fresh salads, and sandwich fillings; manufactures and sells puddings and frozen foodstuff; provides inflight catering services; offers technical and management services for agri-food business; and provides abattoir and related services, as well as engages in the contract manufacture of food products. As of March 31, 2009, the company operated 103 passenger aircrafts and 12 B747-400 freighters, as well as 10 Airbus A320s and 6 Airbus A319s. It operates in Asia, Europe, the South West Pacific, the Americas, and Africa. The company was formerly known as Malaysia-Singapore Airlines. Singapore Airlines Limited was founded in 1947 and is based in Singapore, Singapore. Singapore Airlines Limited is a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited.
