On March 1, 2010, Mr. Yongqiang Wang resigned as Chief Financial Officer of Shengtai Pharmaceutical Inc. On the same date, the company entered into an employment agreement with Mr. Hu Ye to appoint Mr. Ye as new Chief Financial Officer. The employment agreement was ratified by board of directors on March 3, 2010. Mr. Ye, 48, was the CFO of China Shen Zhou Mining & Resources Inc. from June 2008 to March 2009 and the CFO of Si Mei Te Food Ltd. from May 2009 to September 2009.

Shengtai Pharmaceutical Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended December 31, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported revenues were $28.51 million, a 92.7% increase year-over-year compared to the approximately $14.80 million reported in the second quarter of fiscal 2009. The increase in sales revenue resulted from the increase of the companys export sales and domestic cornstarch and other products sales. Gross profit was $4.47 million compared with $1.99 million the same period last year. The increase in gross profits resulted from the increase in sales compared with the same period in 2008. Net income was $1.05 million or 5 cents diluted per share compared to net loss of $473,887 or 2 cents diluted per share. The increase in net income was primarily due to the increase in company sales, decreased selling, general, and administrative expenses, and increase of other income. The company generated $8.73 million in positive cash flow from operations during the second quarter. Based on its current outlook, and existing and anticipated business conditions, the company expects net income for fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 to be between $3 million to $5 million.

Shengtai Pharmaceutical Inc. announced that on November 30, 2009, the company's Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Yiru Shi resigned from her position with immediate effect. Ms. Shi cited the desire to pursue other career goals as the reason for her resignation. On the same day, the company's board of directors accepted her resignation. Also on November 30, 2009, the company's board of directors appointed Mr. Yongqiang Wang to assume the position of the company's new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect. Mr. Wang joined the company in April 2006 as the assistant to the General Manager of the Accounts Department and was in charged of the finance department. He assumed the position of Deputy General Manager of the Accounts Department in February 2007. Mr. Wang is also a director of the company and has held the position since May 15, 2007.
