The Corporate and Investment Banking division engages in capital market and financing activities for corporate clients, financial institutions, and institutional investors. It offers capital market, structured finance, derivative, fixed income, and currencies and commodities services; cash equity and equity derivates, as well as equity research services; and advisory services for merger and acquisition, structured finance, complementary syndication, and interest rate and currency hedging for issuers. Hera S.p.A. has hired BofA Merrill Lynch and Societe Generale Group to lead-manage its EUR 500 million (USD 748.1 million) benchmark eurobond. The offering is seen to take place after the completion of the utility's roadshow, which will be launched between 20 and 25 November.
Societe Generale Group announced that the appointment of Eddy Abramo as the new chief executive for its Middle East private banking business. Abramo will oversee the bank's expansion through its regional offices in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, focusing on both Arab and Indian clients.
