Rochester Medical Corp. Launches StrataSI(TM) & StrataNF(TM) Next Generation Foley Catheters

Rochester Medical Corp. announced the introduction of its Strata brands of Foley catheters. This new Foley product line features proprietary comfort layered technology. The company's StrataSI(TM) catheter is all-silicone, while the StrataNF(TM) version includes a nitrofurazone anti-infective matrix within the silicone. Comfort is the primary area of focus for the StrataSI(TM) and StrataNF(TM) products; the improved silicone design consists of a soft, pliable inner core surrounded by ultra-soft, ultra-smooth outer layers. The new structure allows for softness and flexibility never before seen in an all-silicone catheter. The StrataNF(TM) catheter provides the gentle feel of StrataSI(TM) along with anti-infection properties that are clinically proven to reduce bacterial CAUTI. The development of the Strata Foley catheters continues Rochester Medical's long history of bringing revolutionary and innovative silicone elastomer products to the urological market.
