Power-One Inc. announced that it has mutually agreed with Magnetek Inc. to terminate their Supply and Distribution Agreement, effective immediately. The agreement provided Magnetek with exclusive distribution rights to certain of Power-One's commercial photovoltaic (solar) Aurora products in North America, and non-exclusive distribution rights for certain of Power-One's residential photovoltaic Aurora products, as well as non-exclusive worldwide distribution rights for certain of Power-One's Aurora small wind inverter products. Power-One will now market its commercial inverter product line in North America through direct sales and other distribution partners, as it does with its residential and small wind inverter products. Power-One currently sells its commercial solar products in Europe and Asia though a mix of direct sales, distributors and OEMs.
