On August 18, 2009, Bob R. Adkins, age 59, was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Coast National Bank and Pacific Coast National Bancorp., pending regulatory approval. Since April 29, 2009, Mr. Adkins had been serving as a consultant to assist the Company and the Bank with certain aspects of the chief financial officer function on an interim basis and will perform that function in addition to his responsibilities as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Adkins worked as an executive officer for a number of other financial institutions prior to joining the Company and the Bank, and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial institutions industry. Mr. Adkins' previous positions include having served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ventana National Bank, a proposed San Diego, California-based start-up banking organization, from 2007 to 2009. Michael S. Hahn, who had been serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Coast National Bancorp. and Pacific Coast National Bank, will remain employed by the bank and will hold the title of Senior Vice President.
