The company announced net income of $1.0 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, on revenues of $20.8 million for its quarter ended June 30, 2009. This compares with a net income of $4.3 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, on revenues of $35.6 million in the comparable quarter last year. In the third quarter, sales of its seismic exploration products fell for the fourth consecutive quarter as worldwide seismic activities continue to decline in response to lower oil and gas commodity prices. For the quarter, the company reported income from operations of $1,209,000 and income before tax of $1,300,000 compared with income from operations of $6,227,000 and income before tax of $6,225,000 for the same period a year ago. For the nine months ended June 30, 2009, the company recorded sales of $70.2 million and net income of $3.6 million, or $0.59 per diluted share. For the comparable period last year the company recorded sales of $104.0 million and net income of $10.9 million, or $1.78 per diluted share. For the nine months, the company reported income from operations of $5,537,000 and income before tax of $5,229,000 compared with income from operations of $15,513,000 and income before tax of $15,775,000 for the same period a year ago.
