Micrel Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $58.9 million. Third quarter 2009 non-GAAP net income was $7.6 million, or $0.12 per basic and diluted share compared to non-GAAP net income was $4.602 million, or $0.13 per basic and diluted share for the same period of last year. The company reported income before income tax of $10.077 million and income from operations of $10.024 million compared to income before income tax of $12.528 million and income from operations of $11.867 million for the same period of last year. For the nine months, the company reported income before income tax of $19.049 million and income from operations of $18.463 million compared to income before income tax of $37.025 million and income from operations of $34.588 million for the same period of last year. The company reported net income of $12.214 million or $0.19 per basic and diluted share on net revenues of $157.656 million compared to net income of $23.363 million or $0.33 per basic and diluted share on net revenues of $204.194 million for the same period of last year. The company reported non-GAAP net income of $14.210 million or $0.22 per basic and diluted share compared to non-GAAP net income of $28.085 million or $0.39 per basic and diluted share for the same period of last year. For the fourth quarter of 2009, the company estimates that revenues will be in the range of up 1% to 5% on a sequential basis. In addition, the company estimates that GAAP net income will be approximately $0.11 to $0.13 per diluted share. The company announced that Micrel's Board of Directors has authorized a quarterly cash dividend of $0.035 per share of common stock. And Micrel always has its eye open for these opportunities. More not so much looking for damaged goods, but more looking at companies that will enhance our product portfolio and technology. So, yes, we look at these regularly and will take advantage of them as they come up.”
