For the quarter, the company reported net income attributable to company and subsidiary of $20.1 million or $0.39 per diluted share from revenue of $500.7 million. Net income attributable to company and subsidiary for the 2008 third quarter was $32.8 million or $0.62 per diluted share from revenue of $732.8 million. Included in the 2008 third quarter was net income of $1.7 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, from $27.6 million of revenue for bus capacity provided for evacuation assistance related to the storms that impacted the Gulf Coast in September 2008. Operating income was $32.7 million compared to $54.7 million for the same period of last year. Income before income taxes was $31.7 million compared to $52.9 million for the same period of last year. For the nine months, the company reported revenue was $1.46 billion compared to $2.04 billion for the 2008 thirty-nine-week period. Net income attributable to company and subsidiary was $51.8 million or $1.00 per diluted share compared to net income of $86.3 million or $1.62 per diluted share for the thirty-nine-week period ended September 27, 2008. Operating income was $86.2 million compared to $145.9 million for the same period of last year. Income before income taxes was $83.1 million compared to $140.2 million for the same period of last year. The company also announced that its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.045 per share. The dividend is payable on November 27, 2009 to stockholders of record at the close of business on November 2, 2009. Based on the current trends, the company anticipates 2009 fourth quarter revenue to be similar to the 2009 third quarter revenue and diluted earnings per share to be within a range of $0.37 to $0.42 per diluted share.
