For the period, the company reported profit before tax of HKD 10,396,000, profit of HKD 9,107,000 or 0.5 cents per basic share on revenue of HKD 749,128,000 compared to profit before tax of HKD 40,032,000, profit of HKD 41,380,000 or 2.4 cents per basic share on revenue of HKD 639,012,000 for the same period last year. Total comprehensive income for the period was HKD 7,243,000 against HKD 160,826,000 reported last year. Net cash inflow from operating activities during the period under review was HKD 283 million. The strong performance of cash inflow was a result of the improvement of sales and the effective control of working capital. Capital expenditure, in terms of cash outflow, was approximately HKD 47.67 million, which was mainly related to the payment for remaining construction costs of brewery plants in Xian, Chengdu and Foshan.
