Kantone Holdings Ltd. reported audited consolidated earnings results for full year ended June 30, 2009. For the period, the company reported profit of HKD 68,307,000 and profit attributable to equity holders of HKD 71,068,000 or 1.61 cents per basic and diluted share on turnover of HKD 1,299,684,000 compared to profit of HKD 136,964,000 and profit attributable to equity holders of HKD 143,010,000 or 3.95 cents per diluted share on turnover of HKD 1,613,048,000 for the same period a year ago. The company reported profit before taxation of HKD 69,369,000 compared to profit before taxation of HKD 138,806,000 for the same period of last year. Excluding the non-cash items of impairment losses, adjusted profit for the year was HKD 265 million, and adjusted profit attributable to equity holders was HKD 268 million. The company reported adjusted EBITDA (excluding impairment) of HKD 602 million and adjusted earnings per share (excluding impairment) of 6.09 cents for the year of 2009. Subject to the approval of shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting of the company, the directors have proposed a final dividend of 0.15 cents per share for the year ended June 30, 2009 compared to 0.15 cents per share for the same period of last year, to shareholders whose names appear on the register of members of the company on November 27, 2009.
