Kaiser Aluminum Corporation - Conference Presentation Calls
Kaiser Aluminum Corporation expected to Report Fiscal Year 2009 Results on February 15, 2010. This event was calculated by Capital IQ (Created on November 3, 2009).
Jack A. Hockema, the President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kaiser Aluminum Corp., said after announcing net income of $23 million in the third quarter, that he feels "more comfortable" taking a fresh look at merger and acquisition opportunities within the industry. "We still believe that we're an acquirer and we think there are going to be good opportunities out there," he said in an earnings conference call. "There are some assets that are a good fit and eventually we'll get to the point where we have a common view of value. I'm not confident at this point that sellers have adjusted to the new paradigm here. I think we're converging, but I don't see we're there yet," he said, noting that even though the company is feeling more comfortable with merger and acquisition opportunities going forward, "I wouldn't characterize that as we've got anything really hot that we're working on right now."
