Investor AB is looking for acquisitions in areas including health care, medicine and financial services that do not compete with bank services. As stated by Chief Executive Officer of Investor AB, Lennart Johansson in an interview, the company is looking for acquisitions in businesses where demographics or other human behavior leads to a growth on a par with the GDP growth or higher. According to Johansson, Investor is also looking for objects in the consumer markets and there may already be acquisition processes in progress. The company is also looking at cleantech and renewable energy, however the industry is immature and few companies are large enough to be of interest.
