Interactive Intelligence Inc. releases the Interaction SIP Station(TM), a new communications endpoint device designed as an affordable, reliable and simple alternative to IP desk phones. With a dedicated chip-set delivering high quality audio, the Interaction SIP Station(TM) has no hand set, display, or dial pad. Instead, the device is designed to work in conjunction with a headset and the Interactive Intelligence Interaction Client(R), a PC-based call control software application that includes sophisticated features, such as call recording, call rules, conferencing, presence management, company directory look-up, queue monitoring, call history, and more. Measuring just 4.5 in. x 4.5 in. x 1.5 in. (11.4 cm. x 11.4 cm. x 3.8 cm.), the Interaction SIP Station(TM) also consumes less desk space than a traditional phone. More secure and simple to use, the device's physical buttons include pick-up/disconnect, mute, volume control, emergency speed dial, and a multi-function status LED. The Interaction SIP Station(TM) uses power over Ethernet (PoE), thus further enhancing reliability by making it easier and more efficient to supply back-up power.
Interactive Intelligence Inc. and Rightnow Technologies Inc. have announced that they will introduce an integrated software solution for improved customer interaction management. The integration, with general availability in the fourth quarter of 2009, combines the self-service and agent-assisted service capabilities of the RightNow CX customer experience suite, with the contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony functionality of the Interactive Intelligence all-in-one IP communications software suite, Customer Interaction Center. RightNow Technologies said that the new integration brings embedded call controls, screen-pop, multichannel queuing and routing, click-to-dial, and unified reporting to its agent desktop for increased productivity and improved customer service.
Interactive Intelligence Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported, net income of $2.8 million or $0.15 per diluted share compared to $0.92 million or $0.05 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Operating income was $4.3 million compared with $1.6 million for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was $4.8 million compared with $1.6 million for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $12.9 million or $0.71 per diluted share compared to $7.3 million or $0.38 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $12.2 million compared with $6.5 million for the same period a year ago. The company reported purchases of property and equipment of $1.3 million compared with $6.2 million for the same period a year ago.
