ING Industrial Fund reported consolidated earnings results for the first half year ended December 31, 2009. Net loss attributable to unit holders was $204.0 million, against $449.5 million for the same period last year. Operating income decreased by 121% to an $18.8 million loss from $88.4 million for the December 2008 half-year as debt establishment costs of $47.5 million were expensed during the period. Operating income was $28.7 million before debt establishment costs expensed, a decrease of 68% from the prior half year. The decrease is largely attributable to higher finance costs and weaker earnings from the Canadian portfolio. Operating income per unit for the 2009 half-year was down 117% to a 1.3 cent loss, compared to 7.8 cents per unit previously. Earnings per unit as calculated under applicable accounting standards for the half-year ended December 31, 2009 were a loss of 14.3 cents, compared to a loss of 39.8 cents per unit for the previous half-year. Revenues from ordinary activities were down 9.9% to $135.4 million. Cash flows used in operating activities were $31.6 million, against cash flows provided by operating activities of $70.0 million for the same period last year. Purchase of and additions to investment properties and properties under construction were $12.2 million, against $61.8 million for the same period last year. No distributions were paid during the half-year, compared to 5.30 cents per unit previously.

ING Industrial Fund reported earnings results for the half year to December 31, 2009.
