On September 8, 2009, the Board of Directors of Hampden Bancorp Inc. adopted by resolution an amendment to Article II, Section 1 of the company's Amended and Restated Bylaws to remove language which exempted existing directors who were also directors prior to February 12, 1997 from the prohibition of qualifying to be elected as a director upon reaching the age of 75.
On July 28, 2009 Hampden Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Hampden Bank announced that Donald R. Dupre retired as Director of the Company and the Bank effective as of July 28, 2009. Mr. Dupre shall continue to serve as a consultant, without compensation, to the Board of Directors until January 31, 2010. Also on July 28, 2009, Richard Kos, a current director, was temporarily appointed as the Secretary of the Company.
