Golden Hope Mines Limited announced the completion of a trenching and bulk sampling program on the T1 and T2 gold-bearing zones of the Bellechasse (Timmins) Gold deposit. A total of seven new trenches were blasted across portions of the T1 and T2 mineralized zones. The 2007 Rico trench was re-sampled as part of the current study. 84 bulk samples ranging from approximately 5 to 15 tonnes each were recovered. The majority of samples represented 2 meter advances across the strike of the mineralization: Several 3 metre samples were collected where field conditions dictated. A mobile crushing and screening plant set up on the property processed each individual bulk sample to 100% passing approximately 380mm. All samples are archived on the property in a prepared area and each sample is marked and mapped to permit re-sampling if required. Five 25kg (approx) sub-samples were collected from each lot for further size reduction to approximately 95% passing 6mm. This product is riffled to yield two 1 kg (approx) cuts for total pulp metallic treatment in a commercial assay laboratory. The first several lots of these samples have already been shipped for analysis. Additional shipments are following on a regular basis.

Golden Hope Mines Limited announced that Geochemical Surveying on its new FSG Area has shown four strong gold and base metals anomalies. Golden Hope Mines had previously announced that it had investigated a large base metal sulphide target (3.5 km) with 8 diamond drill holes in late 2007. The Coucou is a volcanic complex with potential for VMS mineralization. Drilling intersected abundant sulphides but no economic grades of precious or base metals were found. A 2008 regional geophysical study done by Frank Glass, P. Geo, identified a more favourable area about 3 km to the south west of the original target. Activation Laboratories Limited have developed a soil gas hydrocarbon technique that is capable of detecting gold and base metals to depths in excess of 200 meters. The company have employed this method and located four gold and base metal anomalies in the new FSG Area.

Golden Hope Mines Limited has been working towards the completion of a large scale bulk sampling program on its wholly owned Bellechasse (Timmins) Gold Deposit. The Bellechasse (Timmins) Gold Deposit currently consists of the T1 zone, the T2 zone and the Ascot Zone. The bulk sample program is currently underway and it is expected that the company will complete at least 5 trenches and process between 300 and 500 tons of rock. The objective of the bulk sampling program is to determine the average grade of the deposit at surface. Simultaneous to the large scale bulk sampling program, Golden Hope Mines will also begin a large scale Geo Chemical Survey on the extensions of T1, T2, Ascot and the 88 Zone.
