GIII Apparel Group Ltd intends to look at acquisition opportunities. At Thomas Weisel Partners Consumer Conference, Neal Nackman, CFO of the company said: “In terms of where our balance sheet is, we feel like we are strongly capitalized and well-positioned to fuel our current growth as well as take advantage of acquisition opportunities that might present themselves in the marketplace. We are a seasonal borrower. We are financed by our $250 million revolving credit line, backed by 11 banks, which is a good thing in this environment to be, to have more players participating with you. We basically have no covenant issues and we have no long-term debt to speak of. In terms of our working capital, we've shown some nice improvement over last year. That's a result of the positive cash flow we had last year. We will generate some nice additional positive cash flow this year, and on our debt to equity position throughout the year, is very comfortable for us. So we feel well-capitalized and able to fuel the current growth models that we have in the Company as well as to take advantage of acquisitions.”

Cold-Weather Clothing Maker Morphs Into All-Season Competitor
For decades, G-III Apparel had no trouble heating up sales of coats and jackets shipped during the chilly months. Problem was, as a maker of outdoor clothing, its business cooled during the warmer seasons.So, a few years ago, G-III (NasdaqGS:GIII - News) began diversifying its lineup beyond its roots in outerwear and create a more balanced, all-season clothing company.Since 2005, it's made five acquisitions that have broadened its product line, expanded its distribution and added a retail segment to its business.Now, while outerwear remains the company's biggest business, it's sporting a new look and a more diverse mix.
