GEA Group AG has won orders worth EUR 40 million ($59 million) to supply equipment for two power plants in Romania and Russia. In Romania, GEA will deliver a new high concentration ash slurry system for Turceni coal fired power plant. The ash slurry system is part of an initiative to extend the plant's service life as well achieve its environmental compliance. This is the sixth order in a row for high concentration ash slurry systems in Romania received by GEA. The Turceni power plant is one of Romania's largest electricity producers, with 7 identical groups of 330 MW each, totalling an installed capacity of 2,310 MW.
