FLIR Systems Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported net earnings were $60,035,000 or $0.40 per basic share and $0.38 per diluted share on revenue of $285,553,000 against net earnings were $54,779,000 or $0.39 per basic share and $0.35 per diluted share on revenue of $276,740,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings from operations of $89,319,000 compared to $76,650,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings before income taxes of $86,417,000 compared to $78,133,000 for the same period a year ago. Cash provided by operations during the quarter was $67,400,000. For the nine months, the company reported net earnings were $169,959,000 or $1.14 per basic share and $1.07 per diluted share on revenue of $835,527,000 against net earnings were $135,916,000 or $0.98 per basic share and $0.87 per diluted share on revenue of $774,624,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings from operations of $257,346,000 compared to $196,413,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings before income taxes of $249,871,000 compared to $194,140,000 for the same period a year ago. Cash provided by operations for the first nine months of 2009 was $199,400,000. Based on the financial results for the quarter, and the outlook for the remainder of the year, the company expects full year 2009 earnings per share to be slightly above the most recent outlook.
