Further, the company offers sales, trading, and underwriting of bank-eligible securities and other fixed-income securities; equity sales, trading, and research; loan sales; advisory services; correspondent banking; and structured finance. As of December 31, 2008, First Horizon National Corporation had approximately 200 business locations in 15 the U.S. states, Hong Kong, and Tokyo; and 191 branches in 17 Tennessee counties, 2 branches in Georgia, and 9 branches in Mississippi. The company was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.

First Horizon Announces Quarterly Dividends on Common Stock Payable on Jan. 1, 2010 and on Fixed Rate Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock Payable on Nov. 16, 2009

First Horizon National Corp.'s board of directors has approved distribution to common shareholders of a quarterly dividend payable in common stock at the rate of 1.4971%. The dividend will be distributed on Jan. 1, 2010, to holders of record on Dec. 11, 2009. The dividend rate means that 14.971 new dividend shares will be distributed for every 1,000 shares held on the record date. In addition, the board approved payment of the quarterly cash dividend on the Fixed Rate Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series CPP, issued to the U.S. Treasury, at the 5% annual dividend rate. That dividend is payable on Nov. 16, 2009, to the holder of record Oct. 23, 2009.
