In addition, The Fairchild Corporation distributes various aircraft parts to commercial airlines and air cargo carriers, fixed-base operators, corporate aircraft operators, and other aerospace companies. Its aircraft products include rotable parts, such as landing gear, radar and navigation systems, instruments, hydraulic and electrical components, space components, and certain defense related items. Further, the company offers component repair and overhaul services. The Fairchild Corporation was founded in 1925 and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia. On March 18, 2009, Fairchild Corp., along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.www.fairchild.com
