Eurotech Ltd. has won an order worth €1.2 million for a supercomputer named Aurora and is to be based on the new HPC (High Performance Computing) architecture. Because of its modularity, Aurora's architecture allows for the creation of computers with a processing power ranging from TeraFlops (thousands of billions of operations per second) to PetaFlops (billions of billions of operations per second).

Eurotech Ltd. announced that it has entered into a contract with Authentidate for design and delivery of the embedded computing engine for Authentidate's joint venture ExpressMD Solutions' remote patient health monitoring device. After initial delivery of units, Authentidate will have the option of moving to a license business model with Eurotech for complete control and responsibility of manufacturing and procurement functions. The device currently uses the Eurotech BitsyXb embedded computer with a custom carrier card to optimize features and I/O options. Eurotech's engineering development team will deliver a single board that will leverage the current computer design for greatest cost reduction and differentiation of the platform to fulfill this contract within Authentidate's accelerated time to market schedule. Authentidate chose to continue working with Eurotech based on FDA approval of the existing technology, the company's ability to deliver a low-power solution, past positive engineering design and customer support service, and the company's business model and product line flexibility.

Eurotech Ltd. announced that its RiderNet Wi-Fi access service reached a count of more than 1 million user sessions, just 17 months since its introduction to the transit market. Agencies using the RiderNet service allow their riders to access the Internet at any time during their trip, whether they're students heading to the library, employees going across the corporate campus to meetings or commuters traveling between home and office. RiderNet consists of an on-board rugged vehicle access point, the unlimited Wi-Fi data service, full Wi-Fi support, complete management and reporting. The service allows passengers to log onto the Wi-Fi service and go online to check email, surf the Internet, and even tunnel into their corporate networks through virtual private network technology. RiderNet Wi-Fi for bus and coach fleets is currently available in 28 states and one province in Canada.
