Key developments for ESOFT INC (ESFT)
eSoft, Inc. announced that it has boosted the hardware platforms on all its products. The hardware upgrade, available immediately, covers all of the InstaGate Unified Threat Management (UTM) and ThreatWall Secure Content Management (SCM) models. The pricing for InstaGate and ThreatWall models remains unchanged, keeping eSoft products among the most aggressively priced in the industry. The hardware upgrade, which includes significant RAM, CPU and hard drive increases, is being made in response to the exponential growth in Internet threats and in anticipation of keeping eSoft customers well protected far into the future. The InstaGate's unique dynamic UTM architecture is capable of protecting against the thousands of new viruses released every day, in addition to the hundreds of thousands of viruses that continue to live inside old documents and computers. eSoft has also raised the bar on secure web filtering using real-time updates and in-the-cloud behavioural analysis to keep customers from accidentally visiting the millions of compromised and malicious websites that make the web the single largest threat to network security.
eSoft Inc. announced enhancements to its award-winning InstaGate and ThreatWall appliances. In addition, eSoft is bringing back its popular DNS Server SoftPak, due to overwhelming customer requests. eSoft's DNS Server SoftPak will be offered again, allowing customers to quickly and easily manage domains and their records with new advanced mode features. Remote syslogging capabilities, previously only available for the ThreatWall, are now available for the InstaGate. These capabilities are key for organizations with logging servers used for archiving logs according to company policy or compliance needs. SpamFilter language scoring allows customers to optionally add spam likelihood scores for specific languages. For companies that only receive email in one or two languages, this will be another tool for reducing unwanted email. The DNS SoftPak is available immediately and is priced at USD 99 MSRP (GBP 61.08 RRP at time of publication). All other new features are also available immediately at no cost to existing eSoft customers.
eSoft Inc. announced the promotion of Patrick Walsh to the position of Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Walsh has previously held product management, marketing and threat prevention team positions during his tenure with eSoft.
