eOn Communications Corp. and Esna Technologies Inc. announced that they have launched a version of their market mobile unified communication software for the eOn eNterprise IP Messenger for the RIM BlackBerry devices in the BlackBerry App World. The Mobile UC Client provides a complete communications & collaboration solution for mobile users, integrating presence, messaging, mobility and computer telephony to users over mobile devices. The integration of unified communications onto these wireless devices will dramatically increase the ability of mobile users to connect to the office and be able to communicate as if they were at their desk. Esnatech and eOn Communications has released a version specifically for BlackBerry users in the App World that have the eOn Millennium and eQueue IP telephony platforms. eOn users can easily access this free mobile app directly on their device. Once installed in conjunction with eNterprise IP Messenger server they can link their devices to their office phone system and leverage the BlackBerry as their office communication device. With the new Mobile UC Client software users of eOn's eNterprise IP Messenger would have access to the following features directly from their BlackBerry device: Users can manage their office presence and live location to better communicate with customers and co-workers. Users can define their presence even when on their BlackBerry to their colleagues in the office. See and find the presence and availability of colleagues in the office. Initiate and or participate in enterprise instant messaging sessions (fully logged and tracked for auditing purposes). OVERVIEW eOn Communications Corporation™ ("eOn" or the "Company") is a global provider of innovative communications solutions. Backed with over 20 years of telecommunications engineering expertise, the Company's solutions enable its customers to use the eOn products to communicate more effectively. eOn's offerings are built on reliable open architectures that enable easy adoption of emerging technologies, such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and concepts such as Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). The Company completed its acquisition of Cortelco on April 1, 2009. For additional information, refer to the amended and restated Merger Agreement among the Company, Cortelco Holding, and a subsidiary of the Company, setting forth the terms and conditions of the acquisition, filed as an exhibit to the Company 8-K dated as of December 18, 2008. Cortelco, Cortelco Holding's wholly owned subsidiary, provides customer premise equipment (CPE) commercial grade telephone products primarily for use in businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, telephone companies, and utilities. Cortelco has formed strategic alliances with distributors and provides the support needed to supply customers with quality sales, marketing, customer service, technical support, and training. The Company incurred a net loss of $339,000 for fiscal year 2009. The increase in revenue and gross margin resulting from the acquisition of Cortelco was partially offset with inputed interest on the note payable to Cortelco's shareholders. eOn Communications Reports Strong Fourth Quarter and Total Year Revenue with Fourth Quarter Profitability

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- eOn Communications Corporation((TM)) (Nasdaq: EONC - News; the "Company"), a leading provider of telecommunications solutions, today reported fourth quarter and fiscal year ended July 31, 2009 results. Fourth quarter revenue increased 217% to $5,089,000 from $1,604,000 in the fourth quarter of last year and increased 106% compared to revenues of $2,465,000 in the third quarter of this year. Net income for the quarter was $111,000 or $0.04 per common share compared to a net loss of $338,000 or $0.12 per common share in the quarter ended July 31, 2008. Included in the net income for the quarter was $480,000 of imputed interest expense due to the amortization of the difference between the face value of the contingent obligation to the former Cortelco shareholders and the discounted present value of the note payable recorded on the balance sheet. Net income for the quarter excluding the impact of the imputed interest expense was $591,000 or $0.22 per common share.Total year revenue increased 52% to $10,645,000 from $6,994,000 in fiscal year 2008. Net loss for the fiscal year ended July 31, 2009 was $339,000 or $0.12 per common share compared to net loss of $3,452,000 or $1.27 per common share for the fiscal year ended July 31, 2008.
