Enquest Energy Services Corp. announced on September 9, 2009 that the Board of Directors of Enquest is continuing to review its strategic alternatives for optimizing shareholder value with the objectives of reducing corporate debt and focusing its resources on areas of oil and gas activity in the USA. In keeping with these objectives, a contract has been signed with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (Canada) Ltd. to dispose of certain non-core assets at the Grande Prairie, Alberta auction set for September 21 and 22, 2009. Enquest will continue to evaluate the sale of certain assets and/or operations on a case by case basis. Enquest cautions shareholders that no specific timetable has been set as it relates to any dispositions. Any subsequent transactions may be subject to regulatory and/or shareholder approval and there is no assurance that the review conducted by the Board will result in any specific transactions being completed.

Enquest Energy Services Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2009. For the quarter, the company reported loss before income taxes of $21,650,000, net loss comprehensive loss of $19,451,000 or $1.17 basic and diluted per share on revenues of $15,144,000 against income before income taxes of $2,394,000, net income comprehensive income of $1,341,000 or $0.09 diluted per share on revenues of $38,605,000 for the same period a year ago. The company also reported cash used in operating activities of $1,985,000 and purchase of property and equipment of $588,000 against cash provided by operating activities of $3,072,000 and purchase of property and equipment of $2,404,000 for the same period a year ago. For the six months, the company reported loss before income taxes of $24,430,000, net loss comprehensive loss of $21,178,000 or $1.28 basic and diluted per share on revenues of $42,180,000 against income before income taxes of $1,452,000, net income comprehensive income of $647,000 or $0.05 diluted per share on revenues of $60,162,000 for the same period a year ago. The company also reported cash used in operating activities of $3,226,000 and purchase of property and equipment of $1,497,000 against cash provided by operating activities of $3,380,000 and purchase of property and equipment of $2,813,000 for the same period a year ago.

Enquest Energy Services Corp. proposed to approve certain amendments to By-Law No. 1 of the Corporation, the proposal is to be consider at the AGM which to be held on July 27, 2009.
