eMagin Corp. announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. Operating income for the period totaled $1.3 million compared to $785,000 in the third quarter of 2008. Net income for the third quarter of 2009 was $1,190,000 or $0.04 per diluted share against net income of $361,000 or $0.02 per diluted share in the same period last year. The company generated revenue of $6.1 million for the third quarter of 2009 which represented a 17.8% increase over the prior year. Income from operations was $1,265,000 against $785,000 for the same period a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported income from operations of $3,299,000 and net income of $2,923,000 or $0.12 per diluted share on total revenue of $17,103,000 against loss from operations of $1,052,000 and net loss of $2,435,000 or $0.18 per diluted share on total revenue of $13,469,000 for the same period a year ago.

eMagin Corp. announced that it has commenced a 2-year, $6 million program to develop an ultra-high resolution OLED microdisplay with 1920 x 1200 triad color pixels. The program, managed by the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) of the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), comprises the third phase of a multiple year effort to provide an ultra-high resolution, 3D-capable display system for advanced medical training systems.
