Key developments for Elray Resources Inc. (ELRA)
Elray Resources Inc. announced shareholders that it is encouraged by Geologists reports of the significant presence of gold on its zircon gold joint venture in central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The 9,000 ha project area has reportedly played host to traditional gold and zircon mining for more than 100 years with reports of locals gold take-out at around 2g/t. The gold and zircon are hosted in alluvial quartz sand and gravel deposits that appear to cover most of the concession area. Anecdotal evidence suggests that these deposits may be several tens of meters thick although traditional miners have only mined and worked the top 4-5 meters. The gold is extremely fine with high mass to surface area ratios and Elray plans for recovery by gravity separation methods with an 85-90%.
Elray Resources Inc. has confirmed that a fourth mineralised zone has been discovered near what is known as 'The French Pit' on the company's 100% owned, 9,000 hectare Porphyry Creek Project in Cambodia. The 'French Pit' and surrounding area was examined in detail and strong evidence was gathered to demonstrate the occurrence of a 4th mineralised zone in that area. A drainage ditch was excavated at the eastern end of the pit to enable future investigations. The Porphyry Creek prospect area has been the subject of sporadic exploration activity for the last 50-years. All work to date has focussed on a small area of known outcrop originally discovered in the bed of Porphyry Creek. The most comprehensive exploration work was carried out by the French in the 1950's when they completed a large excavation locally known as 'French Pit' on the east bank of Porphyry Creek, approximately 50m downstream of the original outcrop.
Elray Resources Inc. announced that initial findings on its 9,000 hectare Porphyry Creek Project in Cambodia indicate that there are multiple mineralized zones on the property. The Company recently completed two exploratory trenches on the property. Trench 1 was cut on a line perpendicular to Porphyry Creek, and commenced in the area where mineralized outcrop had been observed in the past, in and around the bed of Porphyry Creek. Trench 2 was located immediately adjacent to the area known as 'The French Pit'. Highlights of the program are: A new outcrop was created around the known mineralized zones in the bed of Porphyry Creek, allowing detailed observation of those zones, and collection of samples for assay. Approximately 100kg of samples were collected from the two trenches and from the spoil heap surrounding the French Pit. Observations were made of the geological structure in the area and this is intimately related to the mineralization. The occurrence of additional mineralized zones spaced at regular intervals away from the original outcrop was proven.
