Endesa Costanera SA reported earnings results for the year 2009. For the year, the company posted of an ARS 102.6 million (USD 26.9 million/EUR 19.1 million) net loss against an ARS 40.9 million net loss in 2008. The result was partly due to a 4.3% year-on-year decrease of the company's electricity output amid the lower electricity demand in Argentina as well as to increased operating costs. Thus, the company posted an ARS 22.5 million operating loss despite a 3.9% increase in its sales revenues, which rose to ARS 1.537 billion thanks to better spot market prices. In turn, the non-operating results were affected negatively by the devaluation of the Argentine peso against the US dollar.

Endesa Costanera SA reported earnings results for the first nine months of 2009. For the period, the company reported an ARS 85.6 million (USD 22.4 million/EUR 15.1 million) net loss against an ARS 13.6 million net profit in the same period last year. The company's revenue rose to ARS 1.307 billion from ARS 1.233 billion, but its operating profit fell to ARS 5.6 million from ARS 77.2 million amid increased costs. It produced 6,715 GWh in the nine months, up from 6,245 GWh a year ago. The non-operating loss widened to ARS 121.7 million from ARS 40 million.

Endesa Costanera SA reported earnings results for the first half of 2009. The company swung to a net loss of ARS 54 million (USD 14.1 million/EUR 9.9 million) for the first half of 2009, from a ARS 44.9 million net profit a year ago. The operating profit dropped 69.4% year-on-year to ARS 26 million amid lower sales and increased costs. The sales revenues fell 5.4% year-on-year due chiefly to lower revenues from the spot market. Last year Endesa Costanera reduced its net loss to ARS 40.9 million from a ARS 48.9 million net loss in 2007.
