EADS reported earnings results for the third quarter of 2009. For the quarter earnings before interest and tax of the company fell to €201 million ($301 million) from €860 million in the third quarter of 2008. Net loss for the quarter was €87 million compared with net earnings of €679 million in the same period last year.
European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V. reported earnings results for the nine months of 2009. For the period, the company reported that net income fell 73% on flat revenue. Net was EUR 291 million ($435.8 million), or EUR 0.36 a share, compared with EUR 1.08 billion, or EUR 1.34, in the year-earlier period. Ebit excluding special items was EUR 1.7 billion versus EUR 2.6 billion. Revenues totaled EUR 29.7 billion against EUR 29.4 billion.
