Dynasil Corporation of America announced the results of operations for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2010 ending December 31, 2009. Revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 increased by 13.3% to $9.9 million compared to revenues of $8.8 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Income from Operations for the quarter increased by 63% to $1,071,836 compared to $657,370 for the quarter ended December 31 2008. Net income for the quarter was $613,769 or $0.04 per share, an increase of 73% compared to $355,639 or $0.02 per share, for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. These gains in profitability were spurred primarily by an increased demand for products and services, which generated a 13.3% revenue increase, as well as improved profitability in the Products and Instruments businesses. Income before Income Taxes was $909,395 against $470,573 for the same period a year ago.
Dynasil Corporation of America announced earnings results for the year ended September 30, 2009. Income from Operations was $2,843,077 as compared to $1,449,814 for the same period prior year. Income before income taxes was $2,107,760 as compared to $1,235,724 for the same period prior year. Diluted income per share was $0.08 as compared to $0.12 for the same period prior year. Revenues doubled from $17.1 million to $34.4 million. Net income increased by 33.5% from $1.16 to $1.55 million. Net operating loss carry-forwards for federal taxes were exhausted during fiscal year 2008, so fiscal year 2009 net income was affected by provisions for increased federal taxes, as well as higher interest costs relating to the RMD acquisition.
