Dimension Data Holdings plc announced the appointment of Derek Wilcocks as CEO of its Internet Solutions division, which provides converged communications services. Derek succeeds Angus MacRobert who has resigned from the company. Wilcocks is not new to the division. In 1995, he joined the group as founding managing director of Internet Solutions subsidiary Trusted Network Solutions.

Dimension Data Holdings plc has won an AUD 36 million ($31.31 million) three-year contract renewal from the South Australian Government to provide managed network services. The original three-year managed network services contract was awarded to Dimension Data in 2006, which provides for management, monitoring, break/fix services, administration and support for the government's network and firewall infrastructure. Additional services include intrusion detection and prevention, network and security consulting and advisory services, threat analysis and response and vulnerability assessments.
