Dorel Industries Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine month ended September 30, 2009. For the quarter, net income was $30.2 million or $0.91 per diluted share compared to $27.2 million or $0.82 per diluted share a year ago. Revenue was $518.5, down 6.1% from $552.2 million a year ago. Cash provided by operating activities was $73.19 million compared to $853 million for the same period last year. Additions to property, plant and equipment-net was $5.92 million compared to $5.29 million for the same period last year. Additions to intangible assets was $5.41 million compared to $4.61 million for the same period last year. Income before income taxes was $33.96 million compared to $30.69 million for the same period last year. For the nine months, net income was $83.0 million or $2.49 per diluted share, compared to last year's $93.7 million or $2.81 per diluted share. Revenue was $1.6 billion, down 6.3% from $1.7 billion a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities more than doubled as compared to 2008 at $148.2 million compared to $72.4 million in the prior year. Additions to property, plant and equipment-net was $12.78 million compared to $17.12 million for the same period last year. Additions to intangible assets was $15.79 million compared to $14.99 million for the same period last year. Income before income taxes was $97.34 million compared to $112.45 million for the same period last year. The Board of Directors of the company declared its regular quarterly dividend of $0.125 per share on the outstanding number of the company's class A multiple voting shares, class B subordinate voting shares and deferred share units. The dividend is payable on December 3, 2009 to shareholders of record as at the close of business on November 19, 2009.
