Del Global Technologies Corp. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended January 30, 2010

Del Global Technologies Corp. reported unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter and six months ended January 30, 2010. Net sales of $18.1 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2010 reflect an increase of $2.4 million or 15.1% from fiscal 2009 second quarter net sales of $15.7 million due to increased sales in Medical Systems Group in fiscal 2010. The total operating income was $2.0 million compared to an operating loss of $1.0 million in the comparable prior year period. Net income was $1.2 million or $0.05 per diluted share compared to a net loss of $1.8 million or $0.08, in the second quarter of fiscal 2009. The company reported net income before income tax provision of $1.75 million and net income from continuing operations of $1.17 million compared to net loss before income tax provision of $1.20 million and net loss from continuing operations of $1.75 million reported a year ago. For the six months, the company reported operating income of $1.87 million, net income before income tax provision of $1.48 million, net income from continuing operations of $0.77 million and net loss of $2.30 million or $0.10 per diluted share on net sales of $29.64 million compared to operating loss of $0.087 million, net loss before income tax provision of $0.25 million, net loss from continuing operations of $1.20 million and net loss of $2.41 million or $0.10 per diluted share on net sales of $29.90 million reported a year ago.

Del Global Technologies Corp. announced the promotion of Roy Torzullo to be the president of its RFI business. Torzullo previously held the position of vice president and general manager at RFI. Prior to joining RFI, Roy held a number of general management and operations leadership positions with AMETEK, AAR and Honeywell. Roy's educational background includes an MS in Industrial Management from SUNY Stony Brook and a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Pratt Institute.
